Railway transport has been closely cooperating with other sectors of the Uzbek economy since its existence and throughout its activities. One of its main tasks is to ensure timely freight and passenger transportation to meet the needs of the economy. Work in this direction is carried out in various forms and is aimed at ensuring maximum safety of the throughput and transport capacity of the railway network of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The formation of freight and passenger transportation, optimization of the costs of using the railway, and ensuring the safety of train traffic is carried out in close cooperation with foreign partners within the framework of international agreements.
Given the strategic geographical position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Central Asia and the center of geopolitical development in the region, the main transit corridors passed through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, connecting the north and south-east and West of our continent. This is an important factor in planning the development of AJ and identifying problems that require further study and optimization.
