Over the past 4-5 years, the prices of travel documents for passenger trains have not increased, the last time prices were increased for local routes in 2018, and for high-speed electric trains "Afrosiyob" in 2019. During 2019-2022 and 9 months of 2023, wages were increased 2.4 times throughout the republic, prices for electricity and fuel, logistics and transport costs were significantly increased, as well as changes were made to the cost of travel documents (tickets) to update the fleet of passenger cars, purchase new electric trains, and maintenance of railway stations in accordance with the requirements of the time).
In this regard, JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" announces an increase from October 20, 2023 to the cost of the tariff part of tickets for local passenger trains by 50% and to the full cost of tickets for 100% of high-speed electric trains "Afrosiyob".
