​ Scientific and practical conference dedicated to the Constitution Day ​

At the initiative of the Central Trade Union Library of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC, a scientific and practical conference on the topic "The supremacy of the Constitution and the law is the most important criterion of a democratic state and civil society" was organized at the Tashkent Railway College.

The event was attended by Doctor of Social Sciences, deputy of the Tashkent city Kengash of People's Deputies Tashpolat Matibayev, director of the Tashkent Railway College, Deputy Director for academic Affairs, teachers and students of the college, representatives of the Tashkent Prosecutor's Office for Transport, senior operative of the Department for Combating Terrorism and Extremism of the Tashkent Regional Directorate of Railway Safety, employees of the Road Regional Organization of the Red Crescent Society of Uzbekistan and the Central Trade Union Library of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC.

At the event, Doctor of Social Sciences, deputy of the Tashkent city Kengash of People's Deputies Tashpolat Matibayev stressed in his speech that the history of our constitution and its development serve the interests of our people. The Constitution is the basic law of the State, the core of the legal system and defines the meaning and content of other laws. This is a law that every citizen of the country should know, because the competent application of knowledge and laws is the norm of cultural life, a strong support for improving its quality.

During the meeting, the students of the college received answers to many questions of interest to them, supplemented their knowledge with interesting historical information from specialized specialists. And at the end of the scientific and practical conference, the participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition of books of the Central Trade Union Library of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC, dedicated to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Constitution Day is one of the most important public holidays in our country. On December 8, 1992, at the 11th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Basic Law of the country, the Constitution of Uzbekistan, was unanimously adopted. Since then, December 8 has become an official holiday in our country. On this day, various socio-political, spiritual and educational events are held throughout the country in honor of the Constitution of our country. In particular, educational and cultural institutions organize round tables, literary and musical evenings, thematic presentations and exhibitions, and festive concerts.
