Sea and dry ports – a new vector of cooperation

Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC is actively working to expand transport and logistics cooperation with sea and dry ports, shipping, as well as transport and logistics companies with terminals in ports.

Now cargo owners and clients of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC will have the opportunity to directly familiarize themselves with the list of services, price list of ports, shipping and logistics companies in the "Partners" section on the official website of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC, which will allow cargo owners to form the most efficient routes for transportation and optimize transportation costs.

The importance of this cooperation is due to the advantage of maritime transportation in the global volume of cargo transportation, as well as the peculiarities of Uzbekistan's geographical location - the remoteness from access to the World Ocean by the territories of at least two states.

In August of this year, following the results of working visits and business negotiations, Memoranda of Understanding and cooperation were signed between Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC and the ports of the Caspian Sea Aktau and Kuryk, as well as with the Khorgos dry port.

In September of this year, a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation was signed with the Russian logistics company RUSCON, which is a multimodal operator of transport and logistics services of Delo Group with its own terminals in the seaports of Novorossiysk, St. Petersburg and Nakhodka.

At the same time, on October 5, 2021, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev signed a decree on Uzbekistan's accession to the Intergovernmental Agreement on "Dry Ports" (which simplifies the procedure for transporting goods by sea) The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

Currently, Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC has intensified efforts to expand cooperation with other ports of the Caspian Sea, in connection with which the delegation of Uzbek railways will take part in the 2nd International Conference "Caspian Ports and Shipping 2021" on October 19-21, 2021 in Aktau (Republic of Kazakhstan). Uzbekistan Temir Yullari JSC also expresses high interest and desire for mutual cooperation with ports of the Black, Mediterranean, Baltic Seas, as well as ports of South and Southeast Asia.
